Biographical history

Byron “By” I. Larson was a geologist, city planner, and civil engineer in the Puget Sound area. Born in Tacoma in 1921 he attended Stadium Highschool in Tacoma, and the University of Idaho where he studied geology and mining engineering. He later started his own civil engineering company in Seattle and remained in the Seattle-Tacoma area until his death in 2008.

Contains yearly desk journals created by Byron I. Larsen documenting his daily work activities. His work was in geology, city planning, and civil engineering and his notes include dates and brief descriptions of what he was working on and where within the Puget Sound area. There is no journal for the year 1983. Also includes documents regarding a federal mining lawsuit.
