Emmett is the son of Ross O. and Anna F. Miller. Carol wore a gown of ivory satin with long sleeves, sheer yoke and fitted bodice. Appliques of Alencon lace provided detail at the shoulder line and the fitted satin peplum skirt over bouffant tulle extended into a circular train that was also appliqued with lace. Judith was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Murry Shore and Merton was the son of Mrs. and Mrs Samuel Glant. Both the bride and groom were graduates of the University of Washington. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a ballerina-length bouffant white organdy gown with pale pink pique flower appliques on the skirt. Her corsage was a green orchid. Miss Pat Stewart, in a green suit, was maid of honor and Harry Martigopoulos was best man for his brother. The couple made their first home in Portland. The Reverend Donald Cox performed the double-ring ceremony and the bride was given in marriage by Roy A. Cornwell. The bride wore an ankle-length gown of imported egg-shell Irish linen lace, fashioned with a yoke of net ornamented with lace. Her pink shoulder-length veil was caught with orange blossoms to a satin-trimmed lace cap. She wore a single strand of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom, and carried orchids and stephanotis. The Little Church on the Prairie was decorated in a Christmas motif of white chrysanthemums, gladiolus, and poinsettias for the wedding of Marjory Anne Whitmore and Charles Theodore Chandler III on December 27, 1952. The bride is wearing a beautiful Chantilly lace and net over satin wedding gown which includes a long sleeved lace bolero jacket. A diamond and platinum brooch belonging to her mother is pinned onto the jacket. She has a fingertip veil which is fastened to a lace cap. Her bouquet consists of stephanotis and white orchids. Her heirloom veil was fingertip length and was first worn by her great-grandmother. Mrs. George Edward Anderson, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and wore a green satin brocade gown. Miss Janet Nelson, cousin of the bride, was a bridesmaid and George Edward Anderson, brother in law of the bride, was best man. Ushers were Lt. William Schwehm, Richard Knipe and Richard Frederick. The bride was the daughter of the Irving Nelsons and the groom was the son of the Norman Arnolds of Nazareth, Pa. Their first home was made in Tacoma. Lt.
