The memory behind this photo:

I received my report card this year in hand, at 6. When I read it I was confused because it listed my race as white. When my mother explained why she said, "the have racial quotas they have to make, and we couldn't enroll you because there were too many black kids already; we had to prove that you are a percentage of white"
