They are all wearing white hair ornaments to match the muffs and white velvet gowns. Myrna Ball, Judy Helgeson, Teddi Finholm and Joan LaFurgey were listed as Carol Gaye Goodno's bridesmaids. The smiling bride and her maid of honor, Sally Gehrke, can be spotted in the background. Carol Goodno and Donald Allen Taylor were married in Central Lutheran Church on February 8, 1958. The wedding party poses for formal pictures. Mrs. Lloyd Nordstrom served as her sister's Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids, in no particular order, were Peggy Carper, Barbara Haggard, Mrs. Carl Straight, Mrs. Joe Livengood, Louise Lyford and Mrs. Nelson Bennett. The bride's four year old niece, Loyal Nordstrom, was the flower girl. Edwin Davis was the Best Man. Ride on muleback of Lt. Jack Murphy and his bride at Fort Lewis on April 12, 1941. Date is probably incorrect as Salt Lake City natives Lt. Jack M. Murphy and his bride wed on February 22, 1941. His fellow officers wanted to help celebrate but due to inclement weather, this unique method of mule riding was not accomplished until March 9th. The bride and groom are pictured above, each strapped and in wicker chairs aboard a patient mule. They were then led on quite a ride to the Officers Club for a reception. (T. The bride has on a lovely Chantilly lace and satin gown with a French imported fingertip tulle veil. The groom is wearing a white tuxedo with colorful cummerbund and carnation boutonniere. Valerie Joyce McDowell and Milton Dean Haugen were married on March 22, 1958, at the Central Lutheran Church. The new couple will be making their home in South Tacoma. The wedding was followed by a reception at the Steilacoom Lake home of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Weller, the bride's aunt and uncle, and the site of this free for all.
