"The Masonic Journal" was a monthly publication that was first published with its March 25, 1922 issue. The publication centered on "Masonic ideas and ideals," and was published at the Provident Building in Tacoma, Washington. "The Masonic Journal" would change its title to "Washington Masonic Journal" for the April 1924 issue through the August or September issue of 1925, which it then reverted back to its original name.

"Alpine News" was a newsletter published by Tacoma Chapter of The Mountaineers. Articles included mountain rescues, events, tips, future climbs, history, stories of recent climbs and other mountain climbing news.

The Island Lantern (originally called "The Monthly Island Lantern") was a publication that ran from April 1, 1924 through March 1980. As proclaimed at the start of nearly every issue it is "published .. by and for the men of the U. S. Penitentiary. McNeil Island, Washington ... The purpose of this publication is to give inmates opportunities for self-expression: to provide a medium for discussion of public problems: to foster better understanding between inmates and the public and to be constructively informative."

The "Pierce County Recorder" was a weekly newspaper that changed its name from the "Roy Recorder" on October 17, 1930. It covered the areas of Brookdale, Longbranch, McKenna, Parkland, Roy and Spanaway among others in south Pierce County. It focused primarily on local and state news, church and social events, sports including Valley League Baseball and schools including Pacific Lutheran College.

"City Arts" was a monthly magazine which began in Tacoma, Washington, and would soon after have Eastside and Seattle editions, which then consolidated into one edition after September 2011. (1) The magazine was published by Encore Media Group and covered local artists and events in the Tacoma/Seattle area. It contained sections about local art news, lifestyle, and has a featured artist section as well. At the end of each magazine there is a calendar that listed local events happening throughout the month. Some types of events include movies showings, live music, dance, theater, comedy shows, visual art displays, and book talks.

The Tacoma Daily Index is a daily newspaper published by Sound Publishing Inc. It features a daily story on the front page. It publishes legal notices, bankruptcies, liens, orders, calls for bids, federal court notices and auditors’ office notices. The Daily Index was founded on May 1, 1890, as the Daily Mortgage and Lien Record. (1)

The Cog-nitive Courier was a monthly newsletter published by the Tacoma Wheelmen’s Bicycle Club. It was originally established in 1888 and was later restarted in 1974. The newsletter changed names from the Tacoma Wheelman’s Bicycle Club Newsletter to the Cog-nitive Courier in April 2002. In its issues, it contains meetup information for club members, ride calendars for biking trips, information regarding bicycling laws around Tacoma, pictures from past rides, and general news. The final printed version of the Cog-nitive Courier was published in July 2012 due to a lack of an editor.

Tacoma City Scape is a newsletter for City of Tacoma employees published by the City of Tacoma. It provides updates on different aspects of jobs in the city. The newsletter relays information about healthcare plans, advice for work-life balance, and people to call for help. It also includes survey results that were submitted by readers, advice from other employees, and self-submitted articles. Columns for city events and court hearings that could affect workers are also featured.

Publications published by the Washington State Historical Society based in Tacoma, Washington.

Monthly publications by the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce that had six different titles, with some titles running concurrently. All periodicals provided Chamber and business news from around the city and county, but also the Puget Sound region and state. Also included were advertisements, discounts for member businesses, information about upcoming events and lists of new and current members.

Tacoma bi-monthly then quarterly publication was a project of ArtRod and was “a group of artists and community members dedicated to promoting the arts and cultural life of Tacoma and the South Sound.” Toby Room’s editors/publishers were Jared Pappas-Kelley (Issues 1-2, 4-10), Sarah Keliher (1-2, 4-7) and Michael Lent (8-10). The magazine featured writings and interviews among established and emerging local and regional visual artists, musicians, writers and filmmakers.

Weekly newspaper founded in 1973 that primarily focused on issues of relevance to Tacoma's Black community including local, regional and national news, youth news, community calendars, classified advertising, church and family news, and lifestyles and entertainment. Tacoma True Citizen's offices were originally at 1206 South 11th Street, Building 7 in Tacoma. The newspaper is currently owned by Tiloben Publishing Company, Inc., which states that it is "the largest African American owned and operated communications company in the Pacific Northwest."

Office was located on 915 1/2 Commerce Street in Tacoma and Ella E. Ryan was the publisher and manager.

Monthly newsletter funded by the Communications Division of the Tacoma Indian Center. The newsletter published event announcements, brief profiles of tribal members and officials, job postings, volunteer opportunities and notifications of new and available services. August 1975-August 1976.

Action Bulletin was a quarterly newsletter published by the Community Development Department of the City of Tacoma. It covered topics related to new buildings being constructed in Tacoma.

Art Reach was a Tacoma arts newsletter published monthly by the Allied Arts of Tacoma. It advocated for the arts in Tacoma and covered local art events and artist groups in the areas of theater, dance, film, and music.

The Woman Voter is a monthly magazine published by the League of Women Voters of Tacoma/Pierce County. It changed its name to The Voter in 1931, and covered politics on the local and national level. Its goal was to inform women voters of their civic responsibility and it published articles on political events, local political issues, and supported candidates for office. After it became a newsletter its topics were more focused on its own members in the League of Women Voters and published meetings, activities, calendars of events and financial/budgetary matters concerning the organization.

Daily newspaper primarily focused on issues of relevance to Tacoma and Pierce County's Black community. Editions highlighted both local and national news and many editions included supplements titled "Happenings" and "Business Legal Journal" where local community events and business updates were published.
