All Saints Catholic Church in Puyallup was the setting for the Kathlene O'Connell-Dell Thurston wedding in August, 1950. The bride had two attendants and the groom, three. This view, shot from the rear of the church, shows the beautiful painted murals and large side altars with statues of the Sacred Heart and Mary with baby Jesus.

Portrait of bride and eight bridesmaids. Dressed in lace and satin, this smiling bride apparently had a very large and elaborate wedding. Janice Marie Ludwig became the bride of Richard D. North on September 12, 1950, during an evening ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church. The bride's satin wedding gown had pointed sleeves of Chantilly lace and she carried a bouquet of stephanotis and white orchids. There are eight attendants, all dressed similarly in sleeveless white tulle with transparent stoles; Marjorie Ludwig was her cousin's maid of honor. Janice Marie Ludwig and Richard D. North were married during an evening ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church; the candlelight wedding was a large one with the bride and groom each having eight attendants. Jacqueline Mayna Shore and Robert Doud Martin were married August 25, 1950, at First Presbyterian Church. Dr. R. Franklin Thompson, president of the College of Puget Sound, officiated at the nuptials. Miss Shore was given in marriage by Ben B. Cheney, a close friend of the family.The bride designed her own wedding costume and gowns for her attendants. She wore an ice-blue satin floor-length gown with a victorian neckline, long sleeves, fitted bodice and voluminous skirt. The Reverend Donald Cox performed the double-ring ceremony and the bride was given in marriage by Roy A. Cornwell. The bride wore an ankle-length gown of imported egg-shell Irish linen lace, fashioned with a yoke of net ornamented with lace. Her pink shoulder-length veil was caught with orange blossoms to a satin-trimmed lace cap. She wore a single strand of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom, and carried orchids and stephanotis. Staff Sgt. and Mrs. Gus Martigopoulos who were married in Tacoma on the morning of March 11, 1950 at the Greek Orthodox church. Mrs. Martigopoulos, the former Edna Williams, was the daughter of Mrs. Edna Williams of Lubbock, Texas. The reception was held in the home of the bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Martigopoulos.
