South 19th Street between Pacific and Jefferson was closed to traffic and the 1931 era Art Deco Shaub-Ellison building was demolished in 1995 to make way for the University of Washington - Tacoma Campus. In the background are, left to right, 1908 Pacific- home in 1979 to American Plumbing & Supply Co., now part of the UWT campus; Harmon pedestrian bridge over Commerce St. connected to the Harmon Warehouse, 1949 So. C St.; the light colored Heidelberg Brewing Co., 2120-32 So. C St.; and the Snoqualmie Falls Power Co. Transfer House, now part of UWT campus.
