Mrs. Gfeller Trethewey, Buckingham Apartments, Alpha Chi Omega c/o Mrs. Joe Lovely. Matilda Trethewey was the Tacoma delegate to the national convention of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She took a plane on June 20, 1949 to Pasadena, California. The business meetings were devoted mainly to the national project, cerebral palsy. (TNT, 6/22/1949, p.14) The Buckingham Apartments were built in 1930 by James Love and Dukes Tonneson. G.W. Bullard was the architect and Charles Udall & Company were the contractors.
