October 20, 1969, progress photograph on the construction of the new (National) Bank of Washington plaza at 12th & Pacific Ave. Heavy duty cranes are being employed to position rebar reinforcing columns for the walls of the new floors being built at the site. Once completed, the new bank building will be the tallest structure in Tacoma, passing its neighbor, the Puget Sound National Bank, by several stories. Photograph ordered by Donald M.
