The Junior Council of Tacoma's Country Club was hosting their first formal ball. The dance was planned by a special committee that was organized during "Junior Week". Tacoma Country Club's Junior Council was pleased to be hosting their first holiday dance, dancing would continue until midnight. The Junior Council was planning spring time activities as well. Tacoma Country and Golf Club was located on 12750 Gravelly Lake Drive Southwest, along the shore of American Lake. The club dates back to about 1894, with the club facilities relocated in 1904 to its present location, which was formerly the R. B. Lehman farm. Merrilee Longstreth was marrying Roland Day, their wedding reception would be at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club. Merrilee and Roland had an engagement party the previous week at Joan Thompson's home in Lakewood (See D34655-1 & 10).
