36 members of the Adelphian Choir posed for a group portrait on January 9, 1974, in the University of Puget Sound's recital room inside Jacobson Hall. The choral group, founded in 1932, was composed of students from the University of Puget Sound. Each year the Adelphians would perform locally and often tour. Various Adelphian Choirs have performed in the United States, Canada and Europe. The current choir would be the guest singers at the free Tacoma Symphony Orchestra concert on February 13, 1974 at the Temple Theater. Eleven girls in sweaters with a spur logo and knee length skirts plus their sponsor pose on the steps of a campus building. Spurs, a non profit service club, had been on the campus since 1925. ca. 1927. College of Puget Sound Football, first team, circa 1927. Twenty-six players and two coaches sitting on bleachers. In 1927, the College of Puget Sound had only one athletic director and he coached all the sports teams. Clyde Wesley Hubbard was new, having arrived at the college in 1926, but he pushed his team to finish second in the conference. He was assisted by former Logger star Lynn Wright and A.A. Denman. Dr. Edward H. Todd, president of the College of Puget Sound, sits at his roll top desk studying papers. Dr. Todd was the President of CPS for 29 years, from 1913- 1942. The men's dormitory was named after Dr. Todd when it was built in 1948.

Pacific Lutheran College had just dedicated their new $200,000 Science Hall in 1947. Classes were now being taught in the building, which had modern, fully equipped labs available in the classrooms. The new building enabled students to get hands on experience in the science field. View of students in a classroom with microscopes and lab tables, the instructor is Verner L. Johnson (standing, left), Master of Science, Biology. Professor Johnson spent two years at PLC from 1946-48 following his release from service at Fort Lewis. He went on to receive a Ph.D. in zoology at Washington State College (later named Washington State University) in 1953 and joined the faculty at the school's College of Veterinary Medicine the same year. Pacific Lutheran College's library was designed in 1936, building began in 1937 and the building was dedicated in 1939. This building was designed by Emanuel J. Bresemann, a local Tacoma architect. Pacific Lutheran was planning to remodel the library during 1948, view of PLC students outside of the library, possibly between their classes or on their way to study (Saga, 1948).
