Printed on back: Champion Christmas Tree Tacoma, Washington A towering Christmas Tree, sometimes more than 100 feet high, is erected each year in downtown Tacoma. A Douglas fir, the huge tree is a Yuletide gift of soldiers at nearby Fort Lewis to their neighbors in Tacoma. The tree is erected and decorated by Tacoma City Light, one of the nation's oldest municipal utilities. The Christmas tree usually is the tallest in the United States.
