Andrienne with Reno Odlin, Puget Sound Bank president, discussing his handwriting in Odlin's office. The famous graphologist was hired by the Tacoma Times to advise readers of their hidden traits based on the study of their handwriting. She is possibly giving Mr. Odlin some free financial advise; but for the price of one thin dime, readers could send in a sample of their handwriting and receive a character analysis. Andrienne felt that Odlin's handwriting showed off his indomitable will and determination as well as his brilliant mind and cool, composed nature. TPL-581 (T. Times 3/17/1939, pg. 1)

Ira L. Davisson, seated, Utilities Commissioner and Acting Mayor during the illness of Mayor Siegle, helps the Young Men's Business Club boost Tacoma by purchasing poster stamps of Tacoma and nearby scenes. The stamps are being sold by Ebner Mortenson, right, stamp chairman and Dr. H. V. Hoover, left, club president. The stamps will be affixed to 35,000 pieces of departmental mail. In April, Tacoma was in an uproar when Tacoma Postmaster George Fishburne, on order from Washington D.C., banned the Jubilee poster stamps on U.S. mail as being "illegally" similar to some postage stamps. The Post Office recommended that the present seals be withdrawn and larger ones issued, so postal authorities could accept them as "labels." (T. Times, 3/29/1939, p.18; T. Times 4/13/1939, pg. 1)

She is a practitioner of the exact science of determining personality traits from an individual's handwriting. Andrienne has been recently hired by the Tacoma Times to advise readers of hidden traits within themselves. The reader need only fill out the form from the paper, enclose one thin dime and they would receive a personalized character analysis. Oh, in addition, they had to say whether or not they subscribed to the Times. (T. Times, 3/17/1939, p. 1). (T. Times, 4/4/1939, p. 1).
