Red Hunter's Band performs March 9, 1940 at the Annie Wright Seminary "barn dance." The band sports distinctly western wear as they crank out the latest tunes. A couple dances in the background. The dance is being hosted by the AWS juniors and the entire upper school is invited. The dance is being held in the gymnasium of Keator Hall and the dress and atmosphere is casual. (T. Annie Wright Seminary.The interior of Raynor Chapel with the girls choir singing is the location of the memorial service for Founder's Day, marking the 60th year since Annie Wright Seminary was opened by the Right Reverend John A. Paddock. An open house will be held after lunch. Annie Wright Seminary was named after the daughter of Charles B. Wright who had extensive business interests in Tacoma and the Northwest.
