Staff Sgt. and Mrs. Gus Martigopoulos who were married in Tacoma on the morning of March 11, 1950 at the Greek Orthodox church. Mrs. Martigopoulos, the former Edna Williams, was the daughter of Mrs. Edna Williams of Lubbock, Texas. The reception was held in the home of the bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Martigopoulos. The pair established their first home in Portland where he was stationed as a staff sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. (TNT 3/30/1950 pg. 24)

She is wearing a wedding gown of ivory slipper satin with a fitted bodice, dolman sleeves, and mandarin collar. Stephanotis decorates her veil and it is also included in her bouquet with gardenias and ivy. Her little cousins, Mary Lee Hein and Margret Taylor, are the flower girls and her nephew, Michael Edward Carr, is the ring bearer. Displaying a lovely star bouquet of stephanotis and camiss, the former Katherine Mary Geehan, now Mrs. Henry Sandahl, stands before the altar of St. Luke's Episcopal Church on August 25, 1950. She is wearing an ivory satin gown wtih sweetheart neckline and long sleeves. Her bridal veil of net and lace was brought from Europe by her cousin and her gown was loaned by her sister. All Saints Catholic Church in Puyallup was the setting for the Kathlene O'Connell-Dell Thurston wedding in August, 1950. The bride had two attendants and the groom, three. This view, shot from the rear of the church, shows the beautiful painted murals and large side altars with statues of the Sacred Heart and Mary with baby Jesus.

Helen Ruth Lydia Ramstad and Orville Eldon Kyllo were married August 20, 1949, by Miss Ranstad's father, Rev. A.W. Ramstad. The bride and groom stand by their wedding cake ready to cut the first piece. The cake has three circular layers in the center with four square cakes evenly spaced around it. Four tall, tapered candles are spaced decoratively around the cake; which has bride and groom figurines on top. The reception took place at the church parlors. The bride wore her mother's veil.
