Patricia Schaller and Richard D. Gass were married October 12, 1952, at Mason Methodist Church. The bride is the daughter of Lester H. and Faye Schaller. The bridegroom is the son of Conrad P. and Vera Gass. Patricia wore a white satin gown covered with French Chantilly lace above the waist and below in panels down the front and back where the lace extended the length of her train. Several unidentified children crowded onto a few chairs during the festivities at Katherine June Craig's and George Vincent Rickard's wedding on July 19, 1952 at the Parkside Church. Four of the girls wore similar brocade dresses with wide ruffles at the neckline, indicating that they may have been members of the wedding party. Another girl wore a white dress with an eyelet edged ruffle. The boy on the left wore a carnation boutonniere and held a ring pillow - he must have been the ring bearer. Franklin Thompson, president of the College of Puget Sound, officiated at the ceremony. Nancy wore a Swiss organdy gown with a floral embroidered jacket topping a strapless gown of nylon marquisette. The full skirt extended over a hoop into a dance length train. Mr. and Mrs. Hoff established a home in Portland after August 27th. Female wedding guests scramble for the bouquet tossed by new bride Jean McDonald Jepson. Jean McDonald and William Jepson were married on August 17, 1941 at the Little Church on the Prairie. The wedding was followed by a reception at the Steilacoom Lake home of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Weller, the bride's aunt and uncle, and the site of this free for all.
