Shirley Lucille Llewellyn and Vaeth Hewitt were married July 14, 1950, at Mason Methodist Church. The bride and her attendants pose together at the church altar. They are, L-R, Lonna Savage (seated), Dianne Poole, Mary Lee Philip, Patricia Eldridge, Mrs. Hewitt, Holly Hewitt, flower girl, Donalda Moncrieff, Beverly Warner, Virginia Carr and Janis Jacobson (seated). The bride's gown was made of white nylon marquisette fashioned with a portrait neckline edged in imported French lace. The pointed bodice was enhanced by a lace peplum and lace cascading down the back panel of the full skirt extended to a court length train. She wore a floor-length mantilla of French lace. The attendants hold fan-shaped bouquets. Their dresses have short capes with Peter-Pan collars. (TNT, 7/16/1950, p.D-2)

Wedding portrait of Violet Anderson, Anderson-Thompson wedding party, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Miss Anderson, daughter of the Carl Sixtus Andersons, became the wife of John Darrell Thompson, son of the John William Thompsons, on May 12, 1951 in a double ring ceremony. The bride wore a gown of Chantilly lace with tiers of flower-edged ruffles. The bodice was lace appliqued over satin and the costume was accented by elbow length lace gloves. The veil was waist length illusion attached to a pearl trimmed lace bonnet. The bouquet was of baby gardenias and lilly of the valley. The bridesmaids wore pale green gowns of net over taffeta and carried bouquets of purple and yellow. The reception was held in the church parlor and utilized the same lavender and yellow color scheme as the wedding. Mrs. Thompson attended Lincoln High School and the University of Washington. The groom graduated from Stadium and attended Willamette University and received his degree from the University of Washington.The couple made their first home in Olympia. (TNT 5/13/1951, pg. Sepia photograph of church ceremony. This sepia photograph was taken in September, 1950, with the photographer in a loft directly across the recessed loft holding the organist and soloist. Janice Marie Ludwig and Richard D. North were married during an evening ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church; the candlelight wedding was a large one with the bride and groom each having eight attendants. Portrait of bride and eight bridesmaids. Dressed in lace and satin, this smiling bride apparently had a very large and elaborate wedding. Janice Marie Ludwig became the bride of Richard D. North on September 12, 1950, during an evening ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church. The bride's satin wedding gown had pointed sleeves of Chantilly lace and she carried a bouquet of stephanotis and white orchids. There are eight attendants, all dressed similarly in sleeveless white tulle with transparent stoles; Marjorie Ludwig was her cousin's maid of honor. Four smiling bridesmaids in the Edna Duerfeldt-Robert Schroeder wedding pose for the photographer in September, 1950. The young women are beautifully dressed in scoop neck, claret red velveteen gowns with narrow bertha collars and elbow-length gloves, and carry long stemmed beribboned roses. The former Jacqueline Brown married College of Puget Sound student David Keller on October 7, 1950. The bride, wearing a pearl necklace, is dressed in a lovely ankle length gown of white French imported lace over net. She has a fingertip veil with satan cap and wears lace elbow length gloves. She appears to be carrying a large bouquet of stephanotis and ivy. Her sole attendant, Dayle Hoegh, is wearing an ankle length organza gown and a shirred cap. (TNT 10-15-50, D-7)

A double shower in honor of Nancy Challman and Mary Louise Graiff was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Horjes in August, 1950. Barbara Horjes and Myrna Juntti entertained many friends and relatives of the brides-to-be. Posed near a lilly pond in the Horjes' yard are the honorees, standing, and the two hostesses. The bride has on a lovely Chantilly lace and satin gown with a French imported fingertip tulle veil. The groom is wearing a white tuxedo with colorful cummerbund and carnation boutonniere. Valerie Joyce McDowell and Milton Dean Haugen were married on March 22, 1958, at the Central Lutheran Church. The new couple will be making their home in South Tacoma. Strickland-Taylor wedding. Formal portrait of Mamie Elizabeth Strickland on her wedding day of October 23, 1965. She wed Rev. Richard Edward Taylor at the Allen A.M.E. Church, 1411 Yakima Ave. So. According to engagement information published in the April 18, 1965, News Tribune, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grady A. Strickland. Rev. Taylor was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie P. Bridal portrait. The chapel at Charles Wright Academy was the site of the Teckla Ann Slikas-Graham Morley Hicks nuptials on May 19, 1973. The recent Willamette graduates were married in a double-ring ceremony by Rev. James W. Bertolin. The bride, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. John Slikas of Tacoma, was dressed in a silk jersey and wore a small cap with a cluster of fresh flowers. She carried a bouquet of roses, stephanotis and lily-of-the-valley. The groom is the son of Judge and Mrs. Loren D. Hicks of Salem, Oregon. The newlyweds will live in Portland where the groom is an attorney. (TNT 5-27-73, B-4)

The new Mrs. Wolf is also the daughter of Collie Johnson of Vietnam. She had graduated from Aquinas Academy and Marquette University.
