The four Tacoma chapters of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution held a tea honoring local high school girls who were contestants in the Good Citizenship Pilgrimage. These high school students were chosen by their teachers for their dependability, service, leadership and patriotism. They would compete with others over the state in an examination paper which was judged by a board appointed by the state DAR regent. The students are, L-R, seated, Betty Frangen, Loretta Falaschi, Kay Engebretsen, Anita Lewis and Glendalyn Bitney. Standing, Janet Feroe, Marilyn Peterson and Pat Miller.
