Although they are all smiles in this photograph from March of 1939, bowling was a serious matter to (l to r) Helen Blattler, Louise Wahlers and Dani Radonich. They were 3/5th of the Pacific Match Company women's team that had won the right to compete in the national women's congress to be held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in April. The other two members of the team were Evelyn Olson of Everett and Helen Nelson of Vancouver, B.C. (T. Times, 3/28/1939, p. 15)

The Stadium High School track team were honored at a team banquet held at the Broadway Sports Center on May 20, 1943. This was the final meeting of the Tiger track champs who were undefeated in city competition as many of the boys were headed for military service. Hec Edmundson, UW coach, was the guest of honor and principal speaker. He is seated in the front row, sixth from left. Also in the front row was Stadium track coach Mitch Angelel, second from right. John Heinrick, Stadium Athletic Director, is in the second row, third from right, and next to Inspirational Award winner Harry Roegner, second from right. Brunswick, Balker, Collender Company. The interior of a ten-lane bowling alley. The Broadway Alleys will reopen August 28, 1946, after being closed all summer for a huge modernization program. Wearing the latest in stylish glasses, these women bowled for Green's Optometrists, 254 So. 11th, in November of 1946 at the Broadway Bowling Center. The women are wearing matching bowling shirts with their names above the left pocket: Marlys, Jean, Helen, Jona and Peggy. Several women's leagues competed at the Broadway Alleys, 739 1/2 Broadway, including the Broadway Ladies and the Eagles Auxiliary.

The women's bowling team from Green's Optometrists and possibly Charles A. Green, Jr., owner of Green's Optometrists. The women wear matching bowling shirts backwards to show their team name and they each hold a bowling ball. They each wear eyeglasses as well as the man holding three bowling pins. They are playing at Broadway Bowling Center.

In November of 1947, Stationers women's bowling team lined up for a group photo at the Broadway Alleys (739 1/2 Broadway), modeling their matching bowling uniforms- plaid skirts and white blouses with their names on the left side. Left to right were Tiny, Doris, Pat, Nettie and May. The shirts were set off by a plaid tie at the neck. Stationers Inc. sold office and school supplies, business equipment, office furniture, typewriters and mimeographs. C. H. Armstrong was President and J. F. Wilhelmi was Vice President and Treasurer. The company had both women's and men's bowling teams.
