The wedding was followed by a reception at the Steilacoom Lake home of the bride's aunt and uncle, Mrs. and Mrs. Otto H. Weller. Despite the early hour on the wedding, 10 a.m. on August 12, 1941, Owen Thomas Gallagher, the groom, and a group of friends tap a keg in the basement during the reception. The wedding of Gallagher and Georgann Leahey was held at the Holy Cross Church, 10th & Verde. The following reception was at the bride's parents' home at 3808 No. 33rd St. The other men pictured are possibly Best Man William Gallagher and ushers Robert Gallagher, James McMenamin and Philip Brockert. Martin Duggan officiating. The reception was held at the Leahey home. The bride is posed at her family home wearing her wedding gown of white satin with a sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice and long train and veil. On September 5, 1941, Lois Elizabeth Nelson and Dean Gifford Thompson were married in a romantic candlelight ceremony at the First Lutheran Church. The glowing bride is pictured with her attendants on the church's altar. Mrs. Thompson was attended by (in no particular order) her youngest sister Doris Nelson as maid of honor in a "rose dust" gown and four bridesmaids attired in aqua gowns, Mrs. Marco Magnano (also a sister), Charlene Anderson, Virginia Jones and Mrs. Victor Bernard Gunderson (matron of honor.) Iva A. Poinsett and Julius W. Mann were married on December 17, 1944. Iva is wearing a beautiful necklace with her floral-lace wedding gown, she is holding a bouquet of roses and daffodils, while standing in front of a stone hearth, that holds two matching candlesticks.

Doris Marie Holmgren and Wilfred N. Hess were married Januray 26, 1952, at Holy Rosary Church. Doris is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Holmgren of Litchfield, Minnesota. Wilfred, stationed at Fort Lewis, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hess of Albertville, Minnesota. The bride wore a gown of heavy white satin made with a beaded lace yoke. Her lace trimmed net veil was caught to a headband of orange blossoms and her flowers were a heart-shaped arrangement of red roses and carnations. (TNT, 2/4/1952, p.7)
