Wilfred, stationed at Fort Lewis, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hess of Albertville, Minnesota. The bride wore a gown of heavy white satin made with a beaded lace yoke. The reception was held at the quarters of Sgt. and Mrs. Dale Barker. The couple made their first home in Tacoma. Slusher-McCarthy wedding. The Church of the Visitation was the site of the Maxine Slusher/Edward McCarty nuptials on October 13, 1951. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Father Anslem. The bride wore a ballerina length gown of white satin with an overdress of net and a lace apron. The couple was married on July 26, 1952 at Immanuel Presbyterian Church. The bride was the daughter of Mrs. Robert E. Chambers of Denver and the groom the son of Mrs. Grace F. Dilatush of Seattle.
