As part of the many advocacy and community activities the committee conducted is a writing contest for Hilltop students. Prizes were awarded and a presentation of the winners was shared at the Tacoma City Council meeting on October 16, 2018.

It has been transferred to the Community Archives Center repository where a collection for the Hilltop Library Planning Committee has been created.

Background information on the previous Martin Luther King, Jr. library branch is included. Slides from a presentation about the committee's activities are included. Community cafes were conducted at the Peace Community Center and library usage data was collected from people in attendance. The final document contains a cost outline from the City of Tacoma for rebuilding a library in the Hilltop neighborhood.
