General note

On June 7, 1941, Christine Estelle Collier married Russell Huntington Scott. Among their wedding gifts was a recipe book designed to allow Christine to collect, record and create recipes she would use in running her home. Through the years Christine made full use of "MY RECIPE BOOK", so much so that she had to tape the book together with green binding tape. To allow members of the family to savor and explore the recipes she valued, Mama's cookbook has been recreated in a new format, presenting the recipes she used to full effect. Where appropriate notes about how Mama used the different recipes are provided. Barbara G. Scott (copied from page 2).
