  • A man and his large furry friend, a Saint Bernard, take a ride up the Grouse Mountain chair lift. This was the first double chair in the greater Vancouver, B.C. area. Grouse Mountain is a popular tourist attraction and ski area, accessed by aerial tramway, hiking trails, or the Old Grouse Mountain Highway--but only by bike or foot. circa 1952.
