- Opened in 1929, the Coffee Pot restaurant was built on the tideflats in pieces and then bolted together on site--making it one of Tacoma's first pre-fabricated buildings. Renamed the Java Jive after being sold in 1955, it was added to the Tacoma Historic Register in 2003.
