Morrison and members of the Fircrest, Greenwood and Flowercrest Garden Clubs to over 150. The trees were planted by Fircrest employees. Among the large group of townspeople attending the planting ceremony were: (l to r) Sallie E. (Mrs. Theodore) Specht, Oscar Lundberg, Ed Moore, Mrs. Merle Hagman, Mayor Nelson J. Morrison, Mary F. (Mrs. George F.) Harrison and her daughter Mary Ileen, and George Masko, kneeling. (TNT, 5/29/1949, p.c-9)
