Scope and content
A rail car full of wood chips pours into an outdoor receptacle on September 16, 1965. This photograph, taken on behalf of Malcolm McGhie, New York industrial consultant, was probably taken at St. Regis Paper Co.'s Tacoma plant. The plant would receive purchased chips and proceed to unload them rapidly using this 60-foot car which could hold 70 tons. St. Regis would haul these chips to Tacoma from their sawmills in Montana.
