Scope and content
Mode O' Day had a large selection of women's clothing and lingerie. In 1965 they moved to the Tacoma Mall, along with J. C. Penney's, Lerners and many other stores. At the time of this March of 1947 photograph, however, they were located downtown at 1109 Broadway. This is an interior view of shop, racks filled with women's clothing, lingerie behind the sales counter. Three large floral arrangements possibly indicate that sales ladies and store management are awaiting the grand opening or an anniversary sales event.
