Dale Carnegie banquet at the New Yorker, 1501 Sixth Ave. The Dale Carnegie course in public speaking was taught at Knapp business College at 114 So. 10th at the corner of Pacific Ave. In 1950 Knapp College, "The school where futures are formed", had been in operation in Tacoma 25 years. In addition to the Dale Carnegie course, they offered training in the fields of stenography, secretarial skills, accounting, tax preparation, business mathematics and law, and the operation of business machines.
