Boy Scouts, Sea Scouts and adult leaders off to the National Scout Jamboree in Washington D.C., June 30th to July 9th, 1937. The 17 boys and leaders came from Tacoma, Puyallup, Olympia, Centralia and Chehalis and had the distinction of being the (American continental) Scouts to travel the longest distance to the Jamboree. Pictured are, back row L-R, Scoutmaster L.W. Anderson of Olympia, A.R. Cussell (Scout Master Troop 21-Tacoma), Clair A. Stage, Asst. Scoutmaster Troop 50-Dieringer and Mate Charles M. McNary of the Sea Scout ship Flying Cloud. Middle row- Glenn Murray, Charles Dodd, Douglas Kelley, Robert McNary, Allison Stewart, James Petrich, Stanley Brindley and Terry Donaghue.
