Scope and content
This early "Fishing and Hunting Trailer Car," a sportsman's paradise on wheels, was photographed in June of 1937. The vehicle's designers Chauncey Lingerman, in the light suit right, and Peter Jochimsen posed with their Tacoma-made bus converted to motor home outside Chamberlin Olson Coastwise Building (possibly Coastwise Steamship & Barge Co. at the Baker Dock.) The home was built on a truck chassis and had a kitchen with hot and cold running water, gas stove and refrigerator, sleeping berths for six, a gas fireplace and electric lights. It was even efficient to drive, getting a thrifty 10 miles per gallon. (filed with Argentum) (T. Times 6/18/1937, pg. 19)
