ca. 1937. Portrait of Waller Road School football team, thirteen boys with coach. Sweat shirts have boy's first name stenciled on front. The Waller Road grade school's football team finished the 1937 season undefeated, emerging the champions of the Pierce County League, Division A. They were coached by George L. Cronquist. Front row, left to right, Fred Wepfer, Norman Sturm, Bob Infer, Chester Orwich, Francis Metcalf, Gene Falk and Coach Cronquist. No names listed in the paper for the back row, but names visible on shirts are: Wayne, Joe, Ed, Popy, Robe. (WSHS) (T. Times 11/17/1937, pg. 19)
