Tacoma News Tribune, 1951 Fall Furnishings layout. Mrs. J. Donald Shotwell and daughter Claire, a Stadium High School junior, are setting their dining room table in their home located at 4605 North Verde. Wedgwood Posey spray hand-painted china and Sir Christopher sterling silver have been placed on the hand-made imported lace tablecloth. The dining room table is Chippendale mahogany with blue tapestry seat covers on the chairs. A Kerman Oriental rug graces the wood flooring. A chandelier, large china buffet and sideboard complete this room filled with traditionally themed furniture. (TNT 9-26-51, C-2)
