Jack N. and Barbara Allen are seen relaxing in their living room through a large picture window with their two daughters, Paula Laureen, age 9, and Anita Gay, age 6. Two armless, fringed chairs sit on either side of the fireplace and a matching ottoman is seen near the window in the foreground. A sofa has been placed across from the fireplace and a dining table has been moved out of the way against the window at the far end of the room. Mahogany step-end tables match the rectangular coffee table and a mirror hangs over the mantel. Ordered by L.L. Hess for the Tacoma News Tribune's Fall Furnishings issue. (TNT, 9/25/1952, p.C-3)
