Scope and content
Televisions by the mid-1950's were commonly found in many homes. Home fashion articles often spoke of arranging a room's furniture to best fit television viewing. Unusual wooden block stools with wide seats are shown in this living/play area. A little girl is primly seated with hands clasped on one stool with a two-stool combination seat available for the little boy. Photograph ordered by Douglas Fir Plywood Association.
