Small children and adults gather at the old Central School grounds located at South 11th and "G" Sts. in late July of 1927 for the formal dedication of for a new playground. Modern equipment was now put into use by children encompassing a wide section of the city. A Navy band from one of the fleet currently in port was present for the ceremonies.
