Scope and content

Five unidentified entertainers, with bobbed hair and wearing flapper costumes, surround an unidentified man in a tuxedo on the dance floor of the Auditorium at 1308-10 Fawcett Avenue. Known as simply the "Auditorium Girls", they were part of the holiday stage show at the Auditorium during December of 1922. The Auditorium had opened January 11, 1922. The gothic structure was designed by Roland Borhek. It was the home to many dances, as well as a 1923 appearance by Rudolph Valentino. In 1931, it was combined with 1302-06 Fawcett Avenue in a remodel and renamed the Crescent Ballroom. G25.1-003
