Scope and content
ca. 1968. Standing in tall grass, Harold Johnson, champion ax-thrower and tree-climber, keeps his eyes on the 2 1/2 lb. ax he has just heaved at a 3-foot target 20 feet away. He is wearing suspenders marked "World" "Loggers." Johnson of Forks, Washington, can also climb a 100-foot fir and cut through a 14-inch diameter section at its top in less than 1 1/2 minutes. The versatile Johnson showed his skills to Weyerhaeuser Co. customers at the Tacoma service center. (TNT 5-23-68, B-8)
