This photograph, taken around July 19, 1894, was copied by the Richards Studio in July of 1946 under the direction of Ernest Heinrich, owner of Heinrich Locker and Ice. The photograph was taken during a barn raising at the F. Heinrich farm on the banks of the St. Croix River, near Rush City, Minnesota. View of assisting neighbors standing on the roof trusses of building. Carl John Frederick Heinrich was born in Prussia and emigrated to the US in 1871. He settled in Minnesota as a farmer in 1874 on 425 acres bordering the St. Croix River. He married Welhelmina Oelrichs in 1880. They had five children. Ernest Heinrich was their son.
