ca. 1910. Ben Cheney looks to be five years old and his sister Lula three in this portrait almost certainly taken in Lima, Montana, by their grandfather, Benjamin Franklin Cheney. Ben was born March 24, 1905, in Lima and was nine-years-old when he and his sister Lula came from Montana after the death of their mother, Martha Kidd Cheney, in 1914.
