Scope and content
ca. 1952. Copy image of General Dwight D. Eisenhower with Reno Odlin, President of Puget Sound National Bank (right of the General in photo). The other military officers and possible civic leaders were not identified. Mr. Odlin was heavily involved in local and national banking leadership roles. He had served as the first chairman of the War Finance Committee of the state of Washington and was state chairman of the Savings Bonds division of the U.S. Treasury. He was asked by the Eisenhower administration to serve as Under Secretary of the Treasury but declined because of his responsibility to Puget Sound National Bank and the bank's stockholders. Photograph ordered by Puget Sound National Bank. Date of original photograph is unknown but probably before March 24, 1952. (Provost: Banking on Independence, p. 120-121). ALBUM 1.
