Scope and content
On May 1, 1941, College of Puget Sound students prepare to board buses furnished without charge by the Transit Co. to transport the student body to the downtown business section to sell their paper "bricks," proceeds to be used in construction of a new Student Union building. Unfortunately, the buses arrived downtown at 8:30 a.m. and most stores did not open until 9:30a.m. Having to wait an hour, some students lost their enthusiasm, which had been inspired by a last minute pep rally, and snuck off to see an early show. From 1941 C.P.S. annual, Tamanawas.
