A man, possibly a sales person, invitingly holds open the door to a Golden State trailer for a potential customer. The long aluminum trailer came equipped with louvered windows and curtains; a glimpse of some furniture can be seen in the dark interior. Two small storage tanks of gas are attached to the trailer hitch. Americans were starting to take to the road in the 1950's, often living in trailers similar to this one, and enjoying the experience of seeing new places and new ways of living.
