Scope and content
Ten-year-old Paula Peterson of Puyallup was chosen as the theme girl of the "Fairy Tales in Daffodils" flower show to be held on April 11-13, 1958, during the Daffodil Festival. "Alice" poses wistfully in a field of daffodils, holding the hand of a stuffed rabbit, as she gazes up at a giant daffodil. Her woven basket is full of daffodils and she has a few blossoms in one hand. Paula is dressed in the traditional "Alice in Wonderland" costume of white pinafore over a dark smock, hair band and knee length white stockings. The daughter of Barbara W. Peterson, Paula will preside at the Mad Hatter's tea party during the flower show. Photograph ordered by the Puyallup Valley Daffodil Corporation. (TNT 4-6-58, C-1, C-2)
