On the morning of June 7, 1942, fifteen Tacoma men were sworn into the U. S. Navy during a special "Avenge Pearl Harbor Day" ceremony. The ceremony was held at 9th and Broadway. The members of the Navy Mother's Club were the special guests. Buildings in the photograph include the Bostwick Hotel, right , Roxy (Pantages Theater) and Winthrop Hotel at left. (T.
