Scope and content
Eva Hancock accepts a donation of sporting goods from the female employees of the Tacoma office of the telephone company. The women had raised over $100 to purchase outdoor sporting equipment for the South Tacoma USO. The USO building stood in the middle of a park, where the equipment could be used. Mrs. Margaret O'Neil, with archery equipment, and Miss Kathleen Emory, with volleyball, of the phone company are pictured with Miss Hancock. (TNT 8/5/1942, pg. 9)
