Scope and content

Mrs. H. Weeks was one of many people to speak out in favor of dogs at the council hearing on April 7, 1943 discussing an ordinance requiring them to be fenced or chained up. She stated that she lived in a "doggy neighborhood," but the dogs did not harm her garden. She favored keeping the children of war workers with their dogs for company and protection.
