Scope and content
The first Pierce County chapter of the national organization of Minute Maids stopped in their quest to sell war bonds to pose for the photographer on April 21, 1943. They were (l to r) Kay Woods - leader, Jean Connor, Barbara Engberg, Lucille Ludwick and Lucia Kisducak. They arrived suddenly and unannounced at group meetings, never staying for more than three minutes, and sold bonds. These particular maids are believed to be from the College of Puget Sound.
