Informal portrait of Donald E. Paine. Donald E. Paine, AIA, displays the framed citation awarded him by the Construction Specifications Institute for his preparation of the guide specification for the Weyerhaeuser Co.'s Wood Products Manual. A set of manuals is on the shelf behind Mr. Paine. In appreciation, Weyerhaeuser had honored him with a small metal image of himself, pipe clenched between his teeth. The statue rests on a desktop next to Mr. Paine's glasses. Mr. Paine, who hails from Olympia, had his photograph taken at Marshall Perrow's architectural firm on Commerce St. Photograph ordered by Weyerhaeuser Co.
