On August 24, 1966, workers at the Sanitary Cloverleaf Farms load crates of milk and other bins into a waiting delivery van with the help of the American Manufacturing Co.'s scissors lift. The lift enabled men to move heavy items without having to physically lift them above their heads. The crates could more easily slide into the delivery van.
